Metroplex to be reissued! If you missed out on the first release of Metroplex, here is another chance – scheduled to arrive in April 2010.

Encore: #12 Metroplex features robot mode/attack mode, vehicle mode, and base mode. Metroplex is accompanied by robot units Scamper, Slammer, and Six-Gun, and an array of weaponry and accessories including Anti-Matter Projectors, Ion Pulse Rifles, twin guided missile launchers, particle beam pistol, acetylene pistol, maser cannon, mortar cannon, missiles, and fists. It is unknown whether the Encore: #12 Metroplex will feature plastic tires or rubber tires. Bulky and square-framed, Metroplex interacts well with smaller Autobots. Scamper transforms from a black six-wheeled car into a patrol robot. Slammer is derived from one of Metroplexâ?TMs towers and the mortar cannon. The aptly-named Six-Gun is derived from a portion of one of Metroplexâ?TMs towers, Metroplexâ?TMs anti-matter projectors, ion-pulse rifles, and twin guided missile launchers. Comprising at least a substantial portion of the vast Autobot City facility, Metroplex is generally considered to be the key adversary of the monstrous Decepticon Assault Base Trypticon, and will typically—provided that Metroplex is capable of Transforming into his robot mode at the opportune moment—overwhelm Trypticon in battle. MP-07 Masterpiece Thundercracker measures 13â long in jet mode and 10â high in robot mode. Presumably this incarnation will incorporate an amber-hued cockpit bubble and the established dark blue, black and silver into Thundercrackerâs ascetic color scheme. Like fellow Seekers MP-03 Starscream and MP-06 Skywarp, the intricately constructed Masterpiece Thundercracker is equipped with arm-mounted removable guns, and should be accompanied by decals, missile accessories, and a missile-rack display base configured to support robot and jet modes; Thundercracker should also include the switch-between facial expression gimmick featured in both Starscream and Skywarp. Thundercracker is one of the warriors comprising Megatronâs elite inner circle. His profile suggests a nagging reticence in regards to the validity of the Decepticon cause, although generally this characteristic translates as gruff indifference. Thundercracker is known for his contemptuousness of anything lacking flight capability. He is capable of achieving a flight speed of 1500 mph, and produces controlled sonic booms that can be heard for 200 miles. Like his longtime comrade, Skywarp, Thundercracker resents the very existence of Air Commander Starscream.

Great News! Takara-Tomy will be reissuing the MP-02 Ultra Magnus that has been sold out for quite some time and was becoming quite difficult to obtain. Intended to reflect Ultra Magnusâ core appearance without the battle armor, the MP-02 Ultra Magnus utilizes the MP-01 Convoy/Optimus Prime mold and is similarly accompanied by a rifle, an energon axe, Matrix of Leadership accessory, and Megatron gun mode. Ultra Magnus is cited as a disciplined, varyingly self-doubting soldier with unsurpassed courage. In Transformers: The Movie, Optimus Prime passed the Matrix to Ultra Magnus, who accepted the fabled artifact reluctantly. Unfortunately, Ultra Magnusâ subsequent, brief tenure came to a crunching halt when Magnus was unsportingly waylaid by a swarm of Sweeps on Junkion.

Measuring approximately 12″ tall, the MP-01B Masterpiece Convoy: Black Version is a mixture of plastic and die-cast. The MP-01B boasts a color scheme typically associated with Nemesis Prime, complete with red eyes, window panels and headlights. The flat-nosed truck mode is outfitted with rubber wheels and working suspension; the robot mode’s aesthetically-integrated articulation provides intricacies such as working finger joints and adjustable mouthplate. MP-01B Masterpiece Convoy’s opening chest housing grants access to a red-illuminated Matrix of Leadership simulacrum; Convoy is equipped with his rifle accessory, red energon axe appendage, and a P-38 pistol version of Megatron complete with scope and silencer.
